My love affair with horses started  in childhood and since then, I have worked with joy,  bringing them to life in my art. In my opinion horses possess an unequaled beauty and majesty making them gorgeously rich subject matter. Over the years I have discovered much about different horse breeds, their stories and unique characteristics; even so, to me, no one breed is more beautiful or more intriguing than another. When I choose a subject to portray, I do so because I feel it has a story to tell and my image is meant to spur the viewer to want to know more about the reflected capture. That moment, or feeling  or quality will express much about the power, spirit and physical presence of the horse. Ultimately, my portraiture is done with the awe I feel when observing the essence of the spirit of the horse in motion. Truly horses are amazing creatures!
I believe art is a very special gift from God.  Through my art I share in reflecting back the awesome beauty of a part of God's creation! My references are infinite in number and always uniquely amazing glimpses of creation that become my  inspiration. My faith acts to fuel my inspiration to create images that reflect the beauty in this, His creation, especially equine beauty! I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it!
